Bah Habah (Bar Harbor)

Today we rolled into Maine through a town called Gilead. Of course we had to get a picture. And we checked a big one off the bucket list. I got my National Park Passport stamped at Acadia National Park! I have had it for 31 years and have stamps from every region now. I didn't get to stamp it on New Hampshire because of the shut down (FDT) but Acadia is large enough and busy enough it is sort of open. And I did get some stamps. 🥰 We also got to see Sand Beach and Thunder hole in the park. Tomorrow, Heather and I are biking the old carriage roads in the park. No cars! Just bikes. 🚴🏼
We also had Lobster tonight. Because when in Maine, right? 🦞 It was an awesome, chill spot and had great outdoor seating with a brewery vibe. They boiled the lobster and brought it to you on a dish. When I lifted it to twist off a claw, it weighed about 10 pounds and water leaked out everywhere. Then, when I cracked it, this thick white gross stuff was all over the meat. Now, this will sound weird, but I don't love to eat anything that lives in water, and Heather doesn't love lobster. But we really tried to like it. In the end, mom was happy because she got ALL the lobster! 😂 We will probably try a lobster roll instead next time. 🤷🏽
can't really smile in front of a Gilead sign when it feels like we may be living it. 😡
