Universal Day 4

Today was our final day. We had so much fun shopping, getting pictures and redoing some of our favorite rides. Heather's ankle felt stiff, but not painful. We rented a wheelchair to help her along. Max had a great time pushing her around. We had a late lunch at the cheesecake factory, a perfect way to end a great vacation.

We re-rode Escape from Gringott's today, and it was malfunction free. Diagon Alley is just my favorite place. Too many muggles once the park opens to all, but such a fun adventure for an hour or so when the crowds are low. MIB made the rotation today too. Max loves shooting the aliens. Heather rode the Mummy ride, Max opted out. I was going to ride it too, but Heather reported it was pretty jerky so I decided to skip it this time. Shrek and Minions were on the list to see, but they are right by the gate and therefore have some of the longest lines. So we opted to switch parks and re ride Spiderman instead. I am so glad we did, because Max got to meet Wolverine and Captain America on Marvel Island. And we met Betty Book in Toon town and had fun with the speech bubbles. These 4 days were FAST, but so much fun!

Universal- day 3

We started the day with some photos and got in a few rides we hadn't ridden yet. The rides here are amazing. Most are 3D and 4D experiences. It is kind of like a virtual reality experience. So far my favorites are Escape from Gringott's, Hogwarts Express, and Spiderman. Max likes MIB, Minions Shrek, Heather likes King Kong, Jurassic Park, and Spiderman. It is hard to pick though, they are all really amazing and fun. The parks were getting pretty full today, and we had plabned to spend some time enjoying our resort today. So at lunch we headed to City Walk for lunch at Hard Rock Cafe. Heather was checking out the memorabilia and took a tumble off a step. She has a really good sprain and she was wheeled to the bus stop in a wheel chair. The rest of the day was spent elevated and iced. Big thanks to Geoff, who helped us through that fun time.

Universal, Day 2

Today we got to early admission and re-rode Escape from Gringott's. The theming in the queue is amazing, and we missed it all yesterday due to our security escort. So I am so glad we re rode. There was, however, some major glitches on the ride. So the ride experience wasn't awesome. Our cars didn't turn to face the screen, and we lagged twice for several minutes. The first lag was so long we got a little nervous that maybe we were stuck. All was well though, when we exited everyone got a fast pass good for any ride. Next we explored the Simpson's area and had a giant donut from Lard Lad's. Max won a stuffed Santa's little helper at a carnival stand. The Simpson's ride was fun too. We got to pose for pictures with Marge, Homer, Maggie and Bart. Bart stole Max's stuffed dog. it was funny! We went to ride Transformers next, then had lunch at the Toothsome Chocolate Factory in the City Walk. It was so cool, and very good! After lunch we headed to Isle.of Adventure and checked out the Dr. Seuss land, and Marvel Island. We used our fast pass at the Spiderman ride, it was a really cool ride! Max met Spiderman afterwards. I think tonight we will relax a little and order pizza in!
