Acadia NP

Today was totally amazing. Heather rented us bikes and we spent the day trail riding the old carriage roads in Acadia. The Rockfeller's funded preservation of this road system of 48 miles to be used only by horses, people and bikes. We climbed a mountain side and saw a beautiful ocean view. And we stopped at multiple lakes and enjoyed the breeze, the birds and the fall colors. We saw old arched bridges and the stables and stopped at the Jordan Pond House for a picnic on the shores of Jordan Pond. Then we headed back to our cottage and picked up mom to go to the Bass Harbor Lighthouse. The lobster bouy's are everywere in the bay! But after yesterday, we opted for a Latin American restaurant called Bub's Burrito's. 🤌🏼 SO GOOD! Our waiter told us about a cool trail called Compass Harbor, so we snuck in one last hike before we head south tomorrow. Hopefully we will make it back one day, because there is still a ton of stuff to do.
